Though born to the woods of the elven homeland, Wendeylfre spent much of her later youth in the city, coming of age and finalizing her studies there. Academic stricture and urban stimulus left her somewhat drained after so many years and she made the decision to go abroad on calmer paths to quieter places.
The great influence that juxtapositions of setting had played in her life eventually became a point of exploration in her arcane studies. To see different realms laid before her and how life unfolded, or stagnated, was her new fixed point of research.
She feels a special, innate attraction to the First World, the Maelstrom, and other smaller demiplanes of freedom and growth. One can traverse the planes for only so long before attracting attention though...
