__**Rot Sprout**__
• The transformation from one's birth race into a fully fledged Rot host is not immediate and can take 2-3 days, though a rare few have been recorded being able to resist the disease as long as a week.
• During the time between infection and completed transformation, those infected with the Rot become something in between flesh and plant, these creatures are known as Rot Sprouts.
• Rot Sprouts do not have the same infective powers of a fully fledged Rot host, however as their condition develops noticeable changes occur.
• These changes include irritability, increased aggression, animals of the natural world becoming fearful and aggressive towards the host, vines and plant material growing over the skin, a putrid odor of decay eminating from the host body that cannot be masked, and nauseating effects with their spellwork such as creatures they summon producing the same putrid odor of decay or damage spells causing illness on top of their normal effects.
• The transformation from flesh to Rot plant host is an agonizing one as the host hears the psychic echoes of the Rot hivemind and their collective pain from the transformation process in their head constantly while experiencing their own pain as thorns and vines pierce through their skin and grow over their body, hardening into stiff chitinous wood; along with feeling a faminous hunger as their body develops the need for photosynthesis and the chitinous wood grows over their mouth and face.
