How do build tags work?
Tags can now be added to your builds, either from the load build screen or from the character page of your build. You can create your own tags according to your own needs and assign them to your builds. You could tag a build with "Challenge Rating 7", "Drow War Party", "Frontliner", and "Female". Later on if you want to view all your builds with the tag "Challenge Rating 7" you can select it as a filter at the top of the load build screen. This allows you to organise your builds into multiple categories for later use.

I donated in 2016 but adverts are still there
If you think this has happened get in contact via bug report. It's due to how purchases were handled locally in 2016 versions of pathbuilder, and can easily be fixed.

Where are the development plans for Pathbuilder?
You can view the development spreadhseet here. I try to spend my time on tasks that will benefit the majority of users, so unfortunately minor yet time consuming tasks (such as promethan alchemist) will always end up at the bottom of the todo list.

What about custom classes etc?
Custom races, weapons, armor, equipment, and spells are currently enabled. Custom classes, specials and archetypes will not be added to Pathbuilder. It's designed to be user friendly for the majority of players, but this comes at the cost of flexibility for custom items. Custom races were possible due to their codification into the Race Builder in the Advanced Race Guide. Custom feats that do not affect the build (eg text only) may be added at some point.

What license does Pathbuilder use?
Pathbuilder operates under the Open Game License. This means that it cannot use any PFRPG Product Identity material such as places, characters and deities. If you find any items in the app which violate this, please report it via the app's Report Problem function.

What bonuses get added to the build?
Unconditional bonuses get applied to the build, for example if a race gets +2 to perception, this gets added on. Conditional bonuses do not get added, for example if a race gets +2 to perception on a windy day, this does not get added (since Pathbuilder doesn't know whether it's windy in your game or not).

I get too many skill points on certain levels
Skill points are awarded retroactively when Intelligence is raised, just like HP are gained retroactively when Constitution is raised. This does not occur for Intelligence boosting items like Headband of Vast Intelligence.

Why doesn't X archetype stack with Y?
Sometimes the wording around which class features are replaced by an archetype are a little ambiguous. Pathbuilder attempts to be permissive, as users can easily ignore stacking which they believe to be against the rules. If you really do believe that two archetypes should stack and they currently do not (or vice versa) please do get in contact.

I have no fly speed or Spell Resistance despite...
Fly speed and Spell Resistance are not being tracked in Pathbuilder at the moment.

Where can I find options for Phantoms?
Phantoms are on the todo list, but it is weeks of work for 1 class so don't expect it soon.

I shared my character but the link goes to a blank sheet.
Try unsharing your character then trying again.  If that doesn't work submit a bug report.

Magical Knack doesn't increase my spells per day.
Magical Knack only increases caster level in terms of duration, range etc.  Extra spells per day are not granted.

Ioun stones are missing from the item list.
The sheer variety of these and the weird way they stack mean you will have to create your own custom magical item on the front page to have the required stats for your ioun stone.  They may be added eventually.

Kineticist Extra Wild Talent
Implementing Kineticist has been difficult and time consuming due to talent level restriction variations. The level penalty on Extra Wild Talent will not be implemented, and users need to self-police on legal choices.

Shield Master Bonus
This feat was changed in errata to only add the enhancement bonus as a weapon enhancement.

Nature's Whisper is capped by max dex on armor
This ability is currently ambiguous as to whether it is capped by armor or not, but until clarification through errata or faq it is remaining capped by armor in Pathbuilder (It's a lot of coding to uncap it). If you feel strongly about it add your FAQ vote to this thread: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2q4yf?Natures-Whispers-revelation-Is-the-bonus-to

Spell-Like Abilities should qualify for prestige classes etc etc
Pathbuilder works according to this faq: http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fm#v5748eaic9qow that spell like abilities do not qualify for prestige classes unless "the pre-requisite calls out the name of a spell explicitly".

My Warpriest should qualify for fighter feats.
Warpriest only qualifies as a fighter for its bonus feats, not its ordinary feats. Under Bonus Feats: "Finally, for the purposes of these feats, the warpriest can select feats that have a minimum number of fighter levels as a prerequisite, treating his warpriest level as his fighter level."

What about 3rd Party content?
3rd party content might get added at some point. For now I am busy enough trying to catch up with Paizo's release schedule. Path of War and Psionics would be top of the list for 3rd party additions, but is still a long way off

What about IOS or PC ports?
No plans for either now, although you can use a android emulator like Bluestacks to run pathbuilder on PC..

Who develops Pathbuilder?
Just me. I learned to program while making it over a couple of years to keep my sanity as I looked after my two young children. The insides of it are all cronenburg as a result, but it works. I like programming. Programs do what you say, unlike young children.

Will you consider open sourcing Pathbuilder?
I'd only open source pathbuilder if I ever cannot continue developing it for any reason. Managing an open source project sounds too much like work to me, and I'm not actually convinced that other programmers could find their way around it due to lack of documentation, anti-patterns and other programming crimes committed inside.
